Today is Sunday, so I'm late for Five Minute Friday. Again. But, that's the beauty of this community of writers. We write for five minutes without worrying about whether it's right. And that includes whether the day is right, too. :)

What we've got here is a failure to communicate.

I already KNOW that I talk too much.
And yes, I know that in all that talking I don't always say a whole lot.

I know that.

But, sometimes I'm afraid.

I'm afraid that no one hears me, even when I'm talking.

Or if they do hear, they don't listen.

Or they don't care.

I'm afraid that I'll be shut-up before I get out what I want need to say.

And sometimes it is hard to get it out, so it takes more words.

So,

Just
Understand
Me
Please

I don't mean to monopolize the conversation or act self-important.

I just want to be heard.
