Feeling Thankful...

I have a card with a note on it that says, "What if God began to take away everything for which we aren't thankful. What would we have left?" I've been meditating on things that I'm thankful for, and here is my short list:

1. My Bible
2. My friendship with Jesus, and a God who loves me just the way I am, and that there's nothing I can do to make Him love me more or less--He loves me completely, perfectly. That's amazing, and I don't quite get it yet. But, I'm still thankful.
3. My precious family--a husband who works hard to provide for us, and three beautiful children who make me feel younger than my 42 years. And sometimes twice as old.
4. My freedom to homeschool my children.
5. My friends who love me, support me, listen to me, pray for me, remind me that God is faithful, and offer me hope.
6. The gift of writing.
7. My beautiful, warm home.

So, what are you thankful for?

  1. I'm thankful to be alive! I'm thankful for a warm house and food. I am thankful to be a child of the king. Not just a child but a daughter... a princess!
